According to my dad, sometimes all you can say is I'm sorry.
"But dad, I want to explain myself..."
Nope. Just say I'm sorry.
"There is more to the story. And I NEED to tell my story."
Saying I'm sorry is the best thing for you to do. Then give a hug or something.
I guess I always thought that there was more to say than just "I'm Sorry".
I have spent the past day feeling pure sorrow for some decisions that I made that hurt someone that I care about.
"True godly sorrow, which the scriptures tell us “worketh repentance to salvation … ,” is the first step in repentance. (2 Cor. 7:10.) Confession of sins logically follows godly sorrow, prompted by an earnest desire for relief from the suffering brought about by positive realization of wrongdoing. Confession should be made to demonstrate one’s humility and his determination to make restitution for the transgressions." James A. Cullimore
It's hard to admit that you're wrong.
Especially when you were. Utterly and completely wrong.
But my dad is right.
All I need to say is I'm sorry.
What else is there to say when the apology is sincere and real.
I'm sorry.
