I do.
Honestly.
It gets hard and sometimes I wanna go steal a car and drive far far away.
But I won't.
And I can't.
I was talking with a guy and he was asking me what my favorite classes were.
I thought about it and couldn't come up with a straight-up answer.
I appreciate all my classes... but do I really like them? Uh......
Then I had to kick myself. I have been given this precious opportunity to grow intellectually and spiritually and I should find every moment of it exciting and pleasurable. So for one week, I told myself that I would find something in each class that I really enjoyed and learn something.
So that's what I did.
Here is what happened.
Biology 100
Mon, Wed, Fri 10-10:50
Were discussing evolution and the different beliefs and theories surrounding it. I honestly don't really have an opinion on evolution, I mean I don't understand why God would create dinosaurs unless he accidentally mess ed up the first time which I find HIGHLY unlikely. But nonetheless, we still had to talk about it. It was interesting discussing some idea that you 1) have no interest in 2) don't really understand that much about. But here is what I learned. The church has no official stance on evolution. The church states that Adam was the first man and he was created in the image of God. That means that maybe there could have been creatures before Adam, living on the Earth, or he really was the first.... I don't know, but I think it was super interesting that we are allowed to choose a stance on evolution however we want. Cool, huh?

Psychology 111
Tues, Thurs 12-1:15
Ok... This one is a hard one.... I couldn't find anything in this class.... It literally makes me fall asleep and I dread going to the class.... Ok I am being kinda pessimistic. Here is what I found great in this class.
This is my roommate Kendra. She is in my psych class with me. She is the reason I didn't drop it. She is the reason why I am not going to fail the test next week.... Well, I might but let's hope for the best. She is practically perfect in every way. This class has become a game because well, that's what we have been doing for the last 3 days. Playing memory games that she made to study for the test. She is so awesome and I am so happy she is MY roommate :)
American Sign Language
Tues, Thurs 4-5:40
This class has actually been pretty good. I love learning sign language. I want to know it because it's so cool! Recently in class we have been learning how to sign our prayers. One sign we learned was the sign for atonement. Your fingers are doing the sign for the letter F and then you take your hands and rotate, replace, the other hand. When we sin, our Savior takes our place. It is really beautiful and when I learned it, I felt the spirit so strongly in the class. It made me appreciate the language just that much more.
Symphonic Band
Tues, Thurs 1-2:50
Oh, ya guess what?!
I made the band! I love everything about it!! I forgot how much I love playing in a band and my first concert is this Thursday!! AHH! :)
Book of Mormon
Mon, Wed, Fri 9-9:50
I saved this one for last because I truly feel as though I have gained the most insight.
- did you know: the "mists of darkness" in Lehi's dream is actually sand? Instead of it being surrounded by fog, it's a huge sandstorm. I mean, it makes sense right? They are in the middle east so fog doesn't really seem plausible...
- did you know: Joseph Smith Sr. saw an angel 7 times before Joseph Smith Junior saw Moroni once.
- did you know: Satan is also called the Prince of air (Eph 2:2). The great and spacious building is floating in the air. It has no foundation. Kinda interesting right?
