It's official

"But by thy word must be fulfilled.  Help thy servants to say, with thy grace assisting them: Thy will be done O Lord, and not ours" D&C 109:44 (Kirtland Temple Dedicatory Prayer)

It's official.  This is now a dedicated place where those who are worthy can enter.

It's majestic.
It's beautiful.
It's clean.
It's holy.
It's the house of God.

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to the dedication today in the Marriot Center.  Everyone was a little dozy because we were at the 9 am session.... when you stay up til 2 am, it is EXTREMELY early.  But as we watched these men of God, in their little white suits and ties express their feelings and promptings about the temple and the blessings it can provide, I was overtaken.
I Love When That Happens!!
During the dedicatory prayer itself, I was instantly filled with the spirit and I knew of the power and sacredness of this meeting.
Not just anyone gets to go.
You have to hold an active temple recommend and meet with the Bishop.  I am so grateful that I am worthy to not only go to the dedication but the temple itself whenever I please.
My mom send me a beautiful lace handkerchief with a J embroidered into the corner. As I stood and took part in the Hosanna shout, my heart began to soar.
I was flying with the handkerchiefs in the air expressing joy and celebration for this home dedicated to God.

I know this Church is true.
I know it with every fiber of my being.
"I will not doubt, I will not fear; God's love and strength are always near."
I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.  He is inspired every day to lead and guide us.
I know that the temple is the house of God.  Within its walls are sacred covenants that I hope to one day partake of.

I love this gospel and I know of its truthfulness.
